CalSTRS Headquarters

Schetter Electric provided and installed the electrical installation for the CalSTRS Headquarters. The California State Teachers’ Retirement System Headquarters is a 18 story office tower incorporating a 5 story parking structure that also contains a cafeteria and conference center and Administrative Offices in West Sacramento as part of the Sacramento Riverfront Master Plan.
CalSTRS’ Headquarters is located within Raley’s Landing, a mixed-use community comprised of commercial space, restaurants, a hotel, housing and recreational opportunities on the banks of the Sacramento River. The facility will dramatically increase the efficiency of their operations by consolidating staff currently housed in three buildings into one facility Utilizing the latest breakthroughs in sustainable building science and technology, building is constructed to meet the Gold certificate LEED® designation. The building is 280’ tall, 782,868 square feet, and has 1,153 parking spaces. The office tower levels utilize access flooring throughout and house and emergency operations data center to support trading and day-to-day operations. Contains a (1) 2MW Generator, (2) 4,000A main switchboards and 1,500’ of bus duct. Schetter is responsible for the purchase and installation of all power and lighting as well as raceway installation for the telecom, fire alarm, access control, security, parking control, building management, and audio visual systems.
